The Leimert Park Village Book Fair will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2010 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Leimert Park on the Vision Theatre Back lot, located at 43rd Street and Degnan Boulevard. The family-oriented event is held in the heart of Leimert Park, which is considered the center of the African American arts/intellectual scene. The event is free and open to the public.
Founded and produced by Cynthia E. Exum and Associates in partnership with Los Angeles City Councilmember Bernard C. Parks, 8th District and in association with the Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs and Eso Won Books, the fourth annual Leimert Park Village Book fair is a family-oriented event held in the heart of Leimert Park. The Leimert Part Art Walk will be held this Sunday, June 27th from 10:00am - 10:00pm.
Leimert Park Village known for it’s long history of being a center of African and Black American arts and culture is inviting the public to share in a day of art exhibitions, music, fashion, food, drumming, spoken word and shopping.
Come to this FREE all day event featuring Kaos Network, Cinefreestyle, the Vision, The World Theatre, EsoWon, Lucy Florence, young and old, new and established. Art exhibits up and down the street at various open spaces and the Leimert Park Village Drum Circle.
