New Year's Eve

I can't believe it is the last day of the year. New Year's Eve is a day to reflect on the past year and think about the family and friends who won't live to see the new year. I thank God that he has blessed me with the gift of life for another year and the enjoyment of family, friends, and the beauty of nature. I pray for another wonderful year full of blessings and peace on earth.

I wish you a joyous and safe New Year's Eve and that the new year brings you many blessings. Remember, life is too short to sweat the small stuff. See ya next year!

Happy New Year's!

Celebrity Helicopters, located in Compton, California, is a full-service aerial company that offers siteseeing tours, flight training and aviation instruction, aerial production work for the entertainment industry, and executive transportation. Robin Petgrave, Chief Pilot and President, has accumulated over 10,000 hours of flight experience gracing the skills conducting helicopter tours, charters, flight training, ferrying helicopters, and entertainment industry production work.

Celebrity Helicopters, one of Southern California's leading aerial company, fuels it's passion for flying by being the "cool guy" in a helicopter, what's really driving this aircraft is something coming from a much higher place. Celebrity Helicopters has donated and funded many of the programs of Tomorrow's Aeronautical Museum(TAM), a non-profit organization which teaches young kids how to fly and realize their dreams.

Tomorrow's Aeronautical Museum, founded by Robin Petgrave, helps inner city kids learn to fly and focus on changing communities one child at a time. TAM also provide a place for kids to go after school so they stay off the streets. TAM provides mentoring for those that really need it and try to inspire students to reach new heights.

TAM pilots ( also known as "AviationExplorers") have already set more than 7 World Records and have written History all over again... just like the Tuskegee Airmen did many years ago! TAM's achievements have only been possible by the Aviation Angels. Don't take it from me, the best way to learn about Tomorrow's Aeronautical Museum is to watch their 13-Minute video from beginning to end.

World AIDS Day

Do you know your status? Well, today is a good day to find out. World AIDS Day is observed every year on December 1st. The World Health Organizations established World AIDS Day in 1988 to raise awareness and to focus attention on the global AIDS epidemic. World AIDS Day provides information to governments, AIDS organizations and programs, faith organization, communities, and individuals.

In 2007, the estimated numbers of persons living with HIV worldwide is 33.2 million, there were 2.1 million AIDS deaths. In the United States, over one million Americans are living with HIV/AIDS today, one-fourth of them do not know they have the disease. HIV the virus that causes AIDS is hitting African Americans hard. African Americans account for 13% of the U.S. population, but account for 49% percent of all new cases of HIV/AIDS. Black women account for 64% of all women with HIV. According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, AIDS remains the leading cause of death for blacks ages 25 to 44. There is a push to educate African Americans on HIV/AIDS

Magic Johnson and his wife, Cookie, are standing together to fight and educate people, especially African Americans, about the disease. Magic's "I Stand with Magic" campaign is a five-year, $60 million effort financed by the drug company Abbott. The goal is to cut HIV/AIDS rates amoung African Americans by 50%.

It is important to get tested. Early detection save lives. Effective HIV care—including antiretroviral therapies and regular access to primary health care—can help people manage their HIV disease and live longer. So if you don't know your status, get tested.
